Portia is a nationally distributed lifestyle talk show hosted by veteran journalist Portia Bruner, designed to inform, empower, and inspire with a daily dose of positivity. Airing five days a week at 7 PM ET on Fox Soul and select Fox TV stations including FOX 5 Atlanta (WAGA), KTVU in the Bay Area, and FOX 5 DC, the half-hour show covers faith, family issues, health, fitness, and social issues that impact communities nationwide, with a particular focus on the needs and experiences of Black women. Portia Bruner graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in 1995 and began her career as a researcher and producer in the Consumer News Unit of NBC4-TV in Washington, D.C. Before joining FOX 5 News in Atlanta in 2003, she worked as a consumer reporter for WTKR-TV in Norfolk, Virginia, and an anchor and reporter for WAPT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi. The show films in Atlanta and has grown into one of Fox Soul's biggest hits. In its second season, Portia became the platform's second most-popular series, with more than 600,000 unique viewers each month -- up 68% compared to the same period the previous year. The show has been renewed for a third season, cementing its status as a pillar of Fox Soul's programming lineup and a standout in the Atlanta production landscape.
