Long Story Short

Long Story Short is a critically acclaimed animated comedy-drama series created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the mind behind BoJack Horseman, that premiered on Netflix on August 22, 2025. The show uses a non-linear narrative structure to tell the story of a middle-class Jewish family in the San Francisco Bay Area, following three siblings -- Avi (voiced by Ben Feldman), Shira (Abbi Jacobson), and Yoshi (Max Greenfield) -- as they experience ordinary adult events while looking back on their childhood. The series received universal acclaim, earning a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 36 critic reviews and a Metacritic score of 89 out of 100. Netflix renewed it for a second season before it even premiered.
