Chicago Med is part of Dick Wolf's One Chicago franchise, following the emergency department staff at the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. Now in its eleventh season on NBC, the series films at Cinespace Studios Chicago at 2621 W. 15th Place, where three permanent medical sets occupy separate stages: the ICU, Surgical Floor (including OR, CT scan, post-op, and nurses' station), and the Emergency Room. Exterior hospital shots use McCormick Place convention center as the stand-in for Gaffney Medical. Rush University Medical Center served as the real-life inspiration for the fictional hospital. Season 10 filmed on location in Prairie Grove, Illinois for action sequences. The cast includes S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, and Marlyne Barrett.
