Five Nights at Freddy's 2 brings the beloved horror video game franchise back to the big screen, produced by Blumhouse and Universal Pictures. Directed by Emma Tammi and co-written by game creator Scott Cawthon, the sequel filmed from November 2024 through February 2025 across the New Orleans metro area. The production built an elaborate custom Freddy Fazbear's Pizza set behind a Walmart in Chalmette, Louisiana -- reportedly the largest set build in the franchise's film history. Additional filming locations include the Oakwood Center shopping complex in Terrytown and locations in Laplace, Louisiana. The film hit theaters December 5, 2025. The first FNAF film became one of 2023's biggest horror hits, grossing $297 million worldwide. Louisiana's generous film tax incentives and the New Orleans area's versatile locations made it the ideal production base.
