All the Sinners Bleed

All the Sinners Bleed is a Southern noir crime drama series for Netflix, adapted from S.A. Cosby's acclaimed 2023 novel of the same name. The series is written, directed, and showrun by Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther), with executive production from Higher Ground Productions (Barack and Michelle Obama's production company) and Amblin Television (Steven Spielberg). Sope Dirisu (Gangs of London) stars as Titus Crown, the first Black sheriff in the fictional small county of Charon, deep in the Bible Belt. Haunted by his mother's death, Titus must hunt a serial killer who has been preying on his Black community for years, navigating a town steeped in racial tension, religious fervor, and generational trauma. The ensemble includes John Douglas Thompson, Nicole Beharie, Daniel Ezra, Andrea Cortes, Murray Bartlett, two-time Oscar nominee Amy Madigan in a guest role, and Emmy-nominated Kelly Jenrette in a recurring role. Principal photography began around November 3, 2025, in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Open casting calls for local talent were posted through Atlanta-based casting agencies, with the production seeking extras to populate the fictional Southern town. Atlanta and its surrounding rural Georgia locations provide the authentic Southern landscape the story demands, from dusty roads and small-town storefronts to dense pine forests and Baptist churches. Cosby's novel was praised as one of the best crime novels of 2023, and the combination of Cole's cinematic storytelling, the Obamas' production banner, and Spielberg's Amblin backing makes this one of Netflix's most prestigious upcoming drama projects.
