About
Paradise: Disturbed is a serial killer thriller filming in Savannah, Georgia, starring Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, The Iron Claw) as retired OSI investigator Ron Lee. When a series of ritualistic murders begins targeting a tight-knit golf group, Ron is forced out of retirement to confront a brilliant and taunting killer while his partner Tim Pond (Zak Steiner of Euphoria) fights to keep him from unraveling. The ensemble cast includes Lily Donoghue (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Xander Berkeley (The Walking Dead), Pat Healy, D.W. Moffett, Cat Kaylin, Mary Pumper, Nadia Gray, and Sara Yigin. James Khanlarian directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with producer Peter A. Couture, based on the 2018 novel by James Robert Fuller. Producers include Khanlarian, Couture, April Aguilera, and Lawrence Mortorff under Khanlarian Entertainment, LLC. Production in Savannah included filming at the Rousakis Plaza docks on River Street, where a scene involving a 31-foot boat was shot on December 3, 2025 from 6pm to 10pm, according to Georgia Department of Natural Resources permits. Savannah's atmospheric squares, Spanish moss-draped streets, and waterfront provide a Southern Gothic backdrop befitting the novel's blend of golf-club gentility and hidden violence. McCallany's casting as the lead is particularly fitting given his celebrated run as FBI agent Bill Tench in David Fincher's Mindhunter, another series centered on hunting serial killers.
