NHL Behind the Scenes

NHL Behind the Scenes is a production capturing behind-the-scenes coverage of NHL operations and events in South Florida, centered on the Florida Panthers during the historic 2025-26 season. The most significant NHL filming event in Miami was the Road to the Discover NHL Winter Classic docuseries, a four-part series of 30-minute episodes produced by Radan Films in association with NHL Productions, which premiered on December 10, 2025 on TNT with simulcasts on truTV and HBO Max. The docuseries provided exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers in the weeks leading up to the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic at loanDepot Park -- the first-ever NHL outdoor game in Florida. The first episode featured the Panthers' fathers trip to Nashville, behind-the-scenes footage from their 8-3 win against the Predators, and a glimpse of star player Matthew Tkachuk's recovery journey. The Winter Classic itself was an elaborate theatrical production: crews rolled out and stapled white cotton sheets to resemble snow in the air-conditioned Marlins ballpark, while decorating one side as "sunny Florida" with real palm trees and the other as "snowy winter" with fake flamingos. The Florida Panthers, the defending Stanley Cup champions seeking a three-peat, also have extensive season-long programming through their broadcast partnership with Scripps Sports for the 2025-26 season.
