About

The Daily Show has been a fixture of American political satire since its 1996 debut, and the program enters 2026 in its strongest form in years. After Trevor Noah's departure in December 2022, the show adopted a rotating-host format that became permanent: Jon Stewart anchors every Monday while senior correspondents Ronny Chieng, Josh Johnson, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta, and Desi Lydic rotate behind the desk Tuesday through Thursday. The format produced the show's highest-rated year among adults 18-49 since 2020, its biggest audience share since 2015, and its biggest year ever across social platforms. Stewart signed a new deal in November 2025 to continue hosting through December 2026, and the full correspondent roster -- including newer additions Troy Iwata and Grace Kuhlenschmidt -- returns for the 31st season. The show tapes at its longtime studio at 733 11th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, a two-story commercial building between 51st and 52nd Streets that has served as the Daily Show's home since 2005, when it relocated from 54th Street and Tenth Avenue. For NYC visitors, free audience tickets are available through the show's website, offering a chance to experience the live taping of one of television's most influential programs. The Hell's Kitchen studio sits in a neighborhood rich with production history, just blocks from major network headquarters and other late-night studios.
