Coven Academy

Coven Academy is an upcoming young-adult supernatural dramedy series created by Tim Federle for Disney Branded Television. The show follows teen witches-in-training who must band together to defend New Orleans against an approaching dark force. Produced by Chorus Boy Productions in association with Disney Branded Television, the series is projected to air in 2026 on both Disney Channel and Disney+. The cast features Malina Weissman, Malachi Barton, Louis Thresher, Jordan Leftwich, Ora Duplass, and Tiffani Thiessen. Devon Sawa joined as a guest star in February 2026. Principal photography on the pilot episode began on June 2, 2025, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrapped on June 17, 2025. Full production on the first season returned to Vancouver and commenced on December 5, 2025, with filming scheduled to run through March 5, 2026. The Vancouver production facilities provide the atmospheric backdrops needed for the show's magical school setting, with the city's lush Pacific Northwest forests and gothic-influenced architecture lending themselves naturally to the supernatural tone of the series.
